In the present book, the author analyses the process of the rise and eventual failure of the Dhofar Rebellion.

• Chapter One introduces Oman, particularly the Dhofar region, within its geographical, ethnic, and historical contexts.
• Chapter Two examines the formation of the Dhofar Rebellion through two lenses: the social conditions that led to its emergence and the military and operational processes it involved.
• Chapter Three investigates various internal and external factors contributing to the rebellion's development, as well as the deficiencies in these factors that exacerbated the conflict.
• Chapter Four focuses on Iran's role in the Dhofar Rebellion and its actions in countering the insurgents.
