Lughat-i Furs, attributed to ʻAlī ibn Aḥmad Asadī Ṭūsī, who died after 465 AH, stands as the oldest surviving Persian dictionary and a foundational source for lexicographical and poetic studies. Several manuscripts of the work survive, differing substantially from one another, and some of the most celebrated copies have long remained inaccessible to researchers, consultable only through printed editions derived from them. This volume presents facsimile reproductions of six such rare manuscripts, each preceded by an introductory preface situating its provenance, textual character, and relationship to the other surviving witnesses. Edited by Javād Basharī and ʻAlī Ashraf Ṣādiqī, the edition restores direct access to primary manuscript evidence underlying centuries of Persian lexicographical scholarship, allowing specialists to compare readings, trace textual transmission, and reassess editorial choices made in earlier printed editions of this foundational text.
